Team points
Points are accumulated based on three factors. The number of matches played, current ranking position, and the final match score.

Challenger Points -
The challenger receives 5 points per match.
​
Winner Points -
The winner receives 20 points if ranked lower than the opponent, ((Difference in games in sets won, times the difference in ranking (max to 10) divided by 2)).
Winner receives 15 points if ranked higher than opponent PLUS difference in game sets won.

Loser Points -
Games won in all sets. (Max 10 points)

Teams Tied or Consecutively Ranked -
For teams Tied or consecutively ranked, the winner receives 20 points PLUS difference in games in sets won.

Challenger Points -
Challenger (Proposer) receives 5 points regardless of win/loss outcomes.
​
Max Points -
The max number of points a winner can receive is 60.
The max number of points a team can receive for a default is 30.

Playoffs &
Cash Prizes!

Jaxx Tennis & Pickleball Ladders run for 8 weeks each season, followed by a postseason playoff tournament.

Playoff Format

The top 7 teams in each division at the conclusion of the regular season will qualify for the playoffs.

Playoff will be conducted over two designated playoff days.

Teams will compete in a single-elimination format, with the winner advancing to the next round.

The final two remaining teams in each division will compete in the Division Championship Match.
Championship Prize​

The Division Champion will receive a 1st Place Cash Prize of $500.

Additional awards and recognition may be given at that time.

Teams are encouraged to remain active throughout the regular season, as every match can impact playoff qualification and seeding. Good luck, and we look forward to an exciting postseason competition.
Jaxx Ladder
Built on the idea that tennis should be fun, flexible, and competitive, Jaxx Ladder was created to give recreational players the opportunity to play year-round against opponents at their own skill level. Instead of waiting for a short season or searching endlessly for a match, players can join Jaxx Ladder, challenge opponents, improve their game, and build lasting friendships within their local community.

Each year features four new exciting season of tennis--Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter-- giving players a fresh start and new competition every few months. Each season brings new rankings, new rivalries, and new opportunities to climb to the top of the ladder.

But Jaxx Ladder just isn't about the rankings.
Unlike most recreational ladders, Jaxx Ladder rewards first place finishers with a cash prize! Not only are players competing for bragging rights, they're competing for a tangible reward that recognizes their hard work, dedication, and success throughout the season.

Jaxx Ladder Rules & Regulations
League Format
Jaxx Ladder is a year-round recreational tennis league designed to help players enjoy fun, competitive matches while connecting with other players in their area. Ladder standings are updated weekly on Sunday evening based on match results entered during the previous week.
Activity-Based Ladder
The ladder rewards participation. Players earn points by completing matches. Those who choose it to play may move down in the standings as other players continue to earn points.

Player Eligibility

Players must be 18 years old

USTA membership is not required

Players with an official USTA rating may not compete below their current rating level, however may play above their current rating.
Scheduling Matches
Jaxx Ladder is built on flexibility. Players may challenge and play anyone within their division as often as they wish.

Player are responsible for arranging the date, time, and location of their matches.

Challenges may be accepted or declined without penalty.

The original challenge date is used for point calculations, even if the match is rescheduled
Match Play

Matches are played as the best 2 out of 3 sets

Players may agree before the match to play a 10-point match tiebreak in place of a full third set.

Both players should bring a new can of tennis balls. One can will be used for play. The winner keeps the unopened can, and the loser keeps the used balls.
Weather & Rescheduling
If a match is interrupted by rain, darkness, snow, ice, or court availability issues, it should be resumed from the exact point where play stopped. Players should record the score before leaving the court.

Multiple Divisions
Players may participate in multiple ladder divisions during the regular season. However, playoff participation may be limited to two divisions due to scheduling restrictions.
Injuries & Retirements
If a player is unable to finish a match due to injury, the opponent will be awarded the remaining games needed to complete the match score.
Match Proposals
Once a match proposal with a date, time, and a location has been accepted, both players are expected to honor that commitment. If plans change, players must notify one another directly.
Doubles Teams

Mens and Women's Doubles teams may consist of 2-4 players.

Mixed Doubles teams may consist of up to 3 players.

Four-player teams are limited to one match per day.
Sportsmanship
All players are expected to follow USTA's "The Code" and compete with honesty, fairness, and respect. Jaxx Ladder is intended to provide enjoyable and competitive tennis for everyone involved.
Privacy
Player contact information is provided solely for Jaxx Ladder participation and may not be used for personal, commercial, or non-league purposes.
Jaxx Ladder reserves the right to deny, suspend, or revoke membership for unsportsmanlike conduct, disruptive behavior, or any other reason deemed harmful to the league.
Tennis Ratings
Before registering for Jaxx Ladder, please make sure select the division that nest matches your current skill level. Choosing the appropriate division helps ensure competitive and enjoyable matches for all participants.

Beginner (2.5–3.0)
New to tennis or returning after a long break. Learning fundamentals and building consistency.Can rally short distances, understands basic scoring, developing serve and court positioning.

Intermediate(3.0–3.5)
Comfortable playing matches and maintaining rallies. Beginning to use strategy and shot placement.Consistent ground strokes at moderate pace, dependable serve, can volley and keep score confidently.
​
Intermediate-Advanced (3.5–4.0)
Strong recreational player with good consistency and court awareness. Uses offensive and defensive strategies.Reliable serves, directional control, effective net play, can construct points and recognize opponents' weaknesses.
​
Advanced (4.0–4.5)
Competitive player with solid technique and match experience. Comfortable playing at a fast pace.Powerful and consistent strokes, strategic point construction, strong serve and return game, effective doubles skills.
​
Elite (4.5+)
High-level tournament player with advanced shot-making ability and excellent consistency under pressure.Aggressive and controlled play, advanced spin and placement, tactical awareness, strong mental game, can compete in advanced tournaments.
